Nicole and I are currently visiting a senior photographer in Indiannapolis.
Scott Crosby is a photographer that thinks out of the box and gives his senior clients something different and new. This gives them the chance to be unique and to have images that no one else would capture for them. The big thing is that his seniors have FUN. Yep FUN while being photographed. This fun concept is something that we incorporate into all of our portrait sessions and is crucial for our wedding couples. Why? Because it relaxes everyone that we are photographing so that the image that we capture looks natural and not “forced”. When others look at the images we want them to say WOW – that is a really cool portrait.

This is our second chance to photograph Michelle and her family. We attempted to photograph her immediate family at her in-laws house 2 years ago, but the weather did not cooperate several times so we changed the outdoor session to a studio session.
This year was different – not the weather, but its timing. Saturday had rain, but it was quick and not having rain for about 2 weeks prior to this allowed the ground to soak up the water quickly so that we could get some images of the extended family.
Everyone showed up on time, and their clothing was a coordinated effort. This was great, and the images show what coordinating clothes means for a family picture. The initial look at the image makes your eye go towards the faces of everyone in the picture, and not to what they were wearing during their family session.
What a great keepsake for all that were in the portrait. Grandparents always love hanging images of their grandchildren, and sometimes of their children too.

Last night we attended Hero’s Night at the 356th Fighter Group Restaurant in Canton to celebrate the men and women who have joined the Marines and will soon be going off to boot camp to start their training.
There was music, prizes to be won and some
wonderful food from the restaurant. Also, we were there to offer pictures and we brought our print on site equipment (Pro Lab quality images). All in attendance were amazed by the quality and the speed in which we were able to capture and print memories for the parents and new recruits to share for years to come.
Here are some of the images that we captured last night.

We are opening a second location in the Carnation City Mall. This location has been called “Catchlight” so that we can easily distinguish between our main studio (on Main St. in Alliance) and the new location.
As of now our hours are Thursday & Friday night 4PM – 8 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM and Sundays from 12 PM to 5 PM.
The new location will be used for quick portraits, event photography for the mall as well as pass out literature for our main studio.
Please check us out at the Carnation City Mall (located in Alliance, Ohio – east of Canton)* – we are just off of center court, opposite the cinemas.
* location of Carnation City Mall added per comment received – thank you for pointing this out.
