This is that comment that we hear over and over again from many of  Santa’s guests at the Carnation City Mall.

Why are they saying this? Not only do we have a new living room set, which looks like it was plucked from Santa’s house in the North Pole, but we often have Mrs. Claus helping ease the fears of the little ones. Sometimes Santa’s little guests (between 18 months and 3 years of age) are not too certain of the jolly fellow, and they would rather approach Mrs. Claus as she is like a grandmother – and who doesn’t like a grandmother?

Come by our Santa booth at the Carnation City Mall and check it out for yourself. You never know who may show up – maybe Rudolph.

We are very fortunate to have Santa and the Misses at Carnation City Mall for young children to enjoy.  Why are we fortunate? If your little ones are afraid of Santa, they can always join Mrs. Claus as she has the grandmother affect on most children and we can still capture a memorable and extremely unique portrait of your children. No other Mall in Ohio can claim that they have Mr. and Mrs. Claus for the community’s children to come and visit.

Stop by Carnation City Mall at 2500 W. State St. in Alliance, OH and we can capture some childhood memories for young and old to enjoy. Mrs. Claus is with us most weekends and should be around more often as we get closer to Christmas. Regular hours are Wed-Frid 4-8 PM. Saturday 10AM-7PM and Sunday noon-5PM. Check out the Carnation City Mall website for more detailed hours.

The image below is  a child that was afraid of Santa, but went running towards Mrs. Claus. Santa quietly went behind Mrs. Claus to be in the picture with everyone else.

Every year for the past 20+ years, Halifax has had a Busker Festival. This festival shows off the talents of “street performers” and attracts many tourists as well as locals to the capital city of Nova Scotia. Over the 10 days which the festival is held, there will be well over 500 performances from various performers.

We had a chance to stop by and look at such a performer, and I was asked to help out. Well, it was much more then that – I was used as a ladder to help the guy get to the top of a pole where he was going to juggle a sword, flaming torch and an apple – while eating the apple. Plus this was goin g to be on top of a bike.  This guy was OK, not great – but OK. He juggled a chainsaw that had no “teeth” on the blade, I think that’s called cheating. All I cared about, since I was in the show, was that he was well balanced and did not weight that much when he jumped on my shoulders.

What did I get myself into

Get on your BIKE!

While visiting Nova Scotia, we had a family picture request to be taken at Peggy’s Cove. This area is a famous Tourist Trap in Nova Scotia and offers some nice views looking out to sea, looking through the fishing village, or just to look at the lighthouse that sits on exposed bedrock.

This was a great idea, as it is not too often seen as a place to take Professional Family Portraits. Sure many families get a snapshot of themselves near the lighthouse – but I wanted to take it one step further. So I brought some of my portable flashes with me. Below are the portraits that I captured, plus some images that I captured without the flashes, but with the use of a tripod.

Last night we attended Hero’s Night at the 356th Fighter Group Restaurant in Canton to celebrate the men and women who have joined the Marines and will soon be going off to boot camp to start their training.

There was music, prizes to be won and some

wonderful food from the restaurant. Also, we were there to offer pictures and we brought our print on site equipment (Pro Lab quality images). All in attendance were amazed by the quality and the speed in which we were able to capture and print memories for the parents and new recruits to share for years to come.

Here are some of the images that we captured last night.

We are here at the Carnation City Mall with the Easter Bunny. Come on in to get your picture with the Easter Bunny. It only takes a few seconds, and we can have your portrait printed in about 30 seconds.

If you would like, we can even place it on our blog for your friends to see.
