Ayrabella is on the go. Don’t believe me, take a look at the first image. She is starting to find her legs and mom will soon be chasing around the house to catch up to her. I feel that I will be chasing her in our studio when her and mom visit us the next time.
She is one of our easiest little models and she is a lot of fun to photograph. Mom comes prepared with hair bows, different outfits and plenty of energy to keep up with her high energy young daughter. There are so many images to choose from her sessions that it makes it difficult for mom to pick her favorite ones.
Thanks for coming to visit Ayrabella (& Mom too). We are looking forward to your next visit.

It’s our first day at Carnation City Mall with the Easter Bunny, and she is chilling with our daughter.
Drop on by and have some portraits of your children done with the Easter Bunny. She dropped in to the local Bunny Salon to have her fur colored and had her ears straightened (instead of getting a perm), so she looks brand new. Now parents can als0 join their children to have a unique family portrait done. Don’t forget that all of our portraits are printed on site so that you can leave with them soon after we take the image.

Check out the mall’s website for location and hours. Click Here.

Yesterday we met AyraBella and her mom (Stacie) at our Mall studio – Catchlight.
AyraBella had the biggest Blue Eyes and she was such a flirt. Stacie came into our studio and AyraBella was sound asleep in her car seat. Soon she woke up and she was ready for the camera, as she was all smiles.
We created several portraits of AyraBella. One of the first ones that we attempted was in a Tea Cup planter. It went well when we were “testing” the Tea Cup – but once AyraBella was changed into her first outfit – she did not want anything to do with the flower pot. Here is one of the portraits that we captured of AyraBella. I call it “A Strong Cup of AyraBella”. Which is completely the opposite of how she was – most of the time she was full smiles and I heard a few happy gurgles from her.
AyraBella is the newest member of our portrait club – and it will be great to watch her grow.

There is more then one way to capture the image of a shy child. Our way – make him work for us first. He sees that its SO easy to be in front of the camera that he jumps right in there after he takes the image of someone else.
Nicole and I will try almost anything to get a smile from children. Most of the time these children are in the front of a camera (and the stranger taking their picture) for the first time. Having a screaming child is something that we have to contend with every time we walk into a preschool. Does this stop us? Or get us upset? NO WAY. This is just a test of what we came up with to “trick” the little one into giving us a nice smile, that is sure to please his/her parents.
This video is just an example of what we do to capture a unique image of a child. As you can see the camera is triggered by a little boy that would not get his picture taken initially. After taking the picture of a fellow student, he could not wait to get his picture taken.
Nicole and I just finished photographing a local preschool – Union Avenue United Methodist Preschool. We were there two days – yesterday and today.
The children ranged from 3-5 and boy did they keep us on our feet, well actually I was sitting down so that I could photograph them in the little chair that we used as a prop, and we did 2 great poses that parents will LOVE. Nicole loves trying to make the children smile, even at my expense. It doesn’t bother me at all, just as long as we can get some great expressions from the children that their parents will love.
We are photographing another preschool in town tomorrow and Friday. More fun with the little ones. It’s great to see familiar faces from last year, and getting recognized by the children that we photograph as we are shopping or just going around town is so great too.

Everybody smile!
