Yesterday we met AyraBella and her mom (Stacie) at our Mall studio – Catchlight.

AyraBella had the biggest Blue Eyes and she was such a flirt. Stacie came into our studio and AyraBella was sound asleep in her car seat. Soon she woke up and she was ready for the camera, as she was all smiles.

We created several portraits of AyraBella. One of the first ones that we attempted was in a Tea Cup planter. It went well when we were “testing” the Tea Cup – but once AyraBella was changed into her first outfit – she did not want anything to do with the flower pot. Here is one of the portraits that we captured of AyraBella. I call it “A Strong Cup of AyraBella”. Which is completely the opposite of how she was – most of the time she was full smiles and I heard a few happy gurgles from her.

AyraBella is the newest member of our portrait club – and it will be great to watch her grow.

Santa Claus is going to be back at Carnation City Mall starting this coming Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11am. We have the great honor of looking after Santa while he is here in Alliance and photographing him with the children.  Carnation City Mall really out did themselves on decorating center court and it looks and feels like Santa’s living room. Mrs. Claus will be joining us at center court when she can. She is busy keeping the elves on track getting ready for the big day.  We will be holding 2 days for Pet Portraits with Santa – Sunday, December 6th from 12pm – 5pm and Thursday December 17 from 4pm – 8pm.

We look forward to seeing everyone this year.

This is our second chance to photograph Michelle and her family. We attempted to photograph her immediate family at her in-laws house 2 years ago, but the weather did not cooperate several times so we changed the outdoor session to a studio session.

This year was different – not the weather, but its timing. Saturday had rain, but it was quick and not having rain for about 2 weeks prior to this allowed the ground to soak up the water quickly so that we could get some images of the extended family.

Everyone showed up on time, and their clothing was a coordinated effort. This was great, and the images show what coordinating clothes means for a family picture. The initial look at the image makes your eye go towards the faces of everyone in the picture, and not to what they were wearing during their family session.

What a great keepsake for all that were in the portrait. Grandparents always love hanging images of their grandchildren, and sometimes of their children too.
