We absolutely love our jobs here! Now, not many of you out there in our little blogisphere can say that, but when you get to snap adorable pictures of this little angel all day, how can you blame us? Miss Ayrabella has been our muse since the ripe old age of one month, and we have since captured her in every season. When she entered the world of a one-year-old, we were there to help document that important milestone with yet another batch of lovable photos. Our most recent session with this little princess included a vast array of headband and tutus, as well as Bella’s rendition of the world’s cutest Ohio State Cheerleader.

Needless to say, we love our models and become quite attached to celebrating milestones with them, as well as playing dress up for the day and taking superior photos. Becoming so close to our models affords us great benefits- we get to know their personilities, and are able to use this knowledge to work with them in capturing the best possible images. Soon Ayrabella will be turning 1 year old, and her mom decided to bring her in for some portraits – one of the portraits that she wanted was a birthday cake session. She did very well at taking on the cake. Plus she is such a ham when it comes to getting her picture taken at our studio.

Before we did the birthday cake session, some portraits were done as we did not know how dirty Ayrabella was going to get with her birthday cake.

Soon after this image Ayrabella was prepped for her birthday cake session and she had a great old time with the cake. At first she did not know what to do with the cake. Then Nicole helped her out by putting both of her hands in the cake and Ayrabella started tearing up the cake. Mom was hoping that she would do a “face plant” into the cake. This only happened ONCE and I was so glad that I captured the image.

Is this a crime scene? No – it’s the remains of the cake that Ayrabella had fun with. She was a little messy, but it was so worth it when you look at the pictures.

Having recently photographed mom’s maternity session (last maternity session posted on this blog) we were thrilled to meet the young fellow that mom had a few weeks after her maternity session.

Dalton was such a content little guy,  even though his dad forced him to have a picture taken with Michigan University props – just kidding dad. We are thrilled when our couples come with their own props, blankets, pillows, and throws. This makes the portraits that we capture of little one’s that much more personal and it’s so great to hear the stories behind some of the keepsakes and special baby items.

As like our other little ones that we photographed, we are looking forward to watching Dalton grow up. Thank you for allowing us to capture some unique images of your little guy’s first few weeks out in the world.

So this is the third time that we see Ayrabella – its great to watch her grow. She was almost walking and I am certain that once she gets her legs under her, mom will have a hard time to keep up.

The first portrait was taken while Ayrabella was having fun pulling at our props. This is something that happens, and we do not stress about it. Now parents usually apologize, and try to reset the props – but we are not too worried about it. As you can see Ayrabella was having a great time pulling at the props.

This next portrait was made specifically for Ayrabella’s father. He purchased the outfit that she is wearing in the portrait and we were able to find a background that matched her outfit perfectly.

We had a little visitor a few days ago, and he was so nice to bring his mom and dad along. Ashton is the newest member of our baby club. We have known his dad for sometime now, and just met his mother. We were suppose to do a maternity session with mom, but Ashton decided to make an appearance a little bit earlier then mom or dad expected.

No big deal, it’s always a good surprise to have a cute little guy come into the world and into a couple’s live. Ashton was the perfect little gentleman at our studio, and we look forward to seeing him and his parents in the coming year to capture those important moments while he is growing up.

Today we met Reagan. Well kind of – she didn’t have much to say, but that is OK because she is only about 7 days old. Not much to do when you are this old – except be cute as a button.

Sarah (mom) was looking for some really nice and simple portraits of her daughter. She did not want to be rushed, as you can never predict how a baby will react with portraits. With Reagan, we did not have to worry about much. She posed for us with a little bit of help, and the camera adored her. Then again, most sleeping babies are cute.
